During the presentation Jannie Vestergaard will show examples of her work with local food of two decades in Finland, Denmark and Sweden. Through small exercises we will be introduced to inspirational examples and models that is applied in her work with her team and the small scale companies part of the platform Taste of Skåne. The presentation is held in English.
During two decades Jannie Vestergaard has been working with local foods in the Nordic countries. Starting out in South Savo in the 90's she got her first experiences with local food, business development and regional development working as a sensory scientist . Moving back to her home country Denmark in 2006 she worked as a sensory scientist, still focusing on small scale production. Since 2010 she heads the platform Taste of Skåne at Skåne Food Innovation Network working developing Skåne as a culinary region.
