Collaboration across language boundaries: Students in health and welfare practice together

What should you consider and how should you treat a patient who has overdosed on medication? This is an example of a case Novia's and Vamk's health and welfare students practiced together within the HallåTVÅ project earlier this week. Students put their knowledge to the test through both theoretical and practical exercises.

The project’s aim is to create collaboration between two universities of applied sciences within the health and welfare degree programs in Swedish, Finnish and English. The focus is on communication, i.e. practicing speaking to each other in the other language, practicing hearing the other language and understanding by practicing together with future colleagues in a safe simulation environment.
