On this page you will find a description on of how personal data is processed at Novia UAS and how registered persons can contact Novia in matters concerning personal registers.
Novia complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable legislation and we are responsible for all processing of personal data in our operations. Novia processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
At Novia we treat personal data to fulfill our mission as public-law society (University of Applied Sciences), that is to say to provide high-quality education, research and cooperation with the rest of the society. We also do so to review and develop our business and to comply with the legislation.
Registered persons rights to review their personal data
As registered in one of Novia´s personnel registers, you have the right to access your personal data in accordance with the GDPR Regulation.
If you want to review your personal data, contact registrator@novia.fi.
Within 30 days, Novia verifies what personal data is to be found and notifies the person who requested the review.
Registered rights to require data correction
Persons included in any of Novia's personnel registries are entitled to get incorrect information corrected by sending and e-mail to registrator@novia.fi.
Costs
The right of transparency or claim for correction is free of charge. If the request is unjustified or unreasonable, a fee of 150 euros per request can be charged, and this is decided case by case.
