Novia Research Seminar 2022: Madeleine Granvik
Novia Research Seminar is held onsite in Campus Raseborg (room B159), and you can also participate online. The seminar is open to staff, students, and other interested parties.
The seminars are held at 15 o’clock if nothing else is stated. On 27th October we will hear Madeleine Granvik from Uppsala University, give a talk on "Planning for food security in times of changes, the Swedish context".
About the talk
“The Swedish population is today dependent on imported food, which increase vulnerability when crises arise that effect the global food system. The Swedish Defense Committee states that a longer security crisis requires strengthening of food production at national, regional and local levels. In 2022, the Swedish government appointed an investigation that will develop a new food preparedness policy for Sweden. In parallel the Swedish National Food Strategy implies a policy shift for the food sector, in that it stipulates that Swedish food production should increase.”
