Application Process (Bachelor)
1) Apply Online at Studyinfo.fi
Submit your application online at www.studyinfo.fi during the application period.
- Joint application to Higher Education in spring 2025, between 8-22 January 2025 at 3 pm (Finnish time)
- Separate application to Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Fine Arts, between 11-25 March 2025 at 3 pm (Finnish time)
Late applications are not considered.
Check if you need to pay an application fee
An application fee is collected for applicants from countries outside EU/EEA seeking education leading to a degree in higher education. The application fee will not be charged for Finnish or EU/EEA citizens. Also, certain types if residence permits might exempt from the application fee liability.
The application fees are introduced for applications starting 1 January 2025 and onwards, when applying for degree programmes beginning on or after 1 August 2025. Read more at Studyinfo: Application fees
The Finnish National Agency of Education will collect the application fee in connection with filling in the Studyinfo application form. The application fee is collected with the Suomi.fi payment service. If you have submitted an application and have questions regarding the application fee, you may contact applicationfee@oph.fi.
2) Upload Attachments
Upload your application attachments in the online application form within the given deadline specific to the application period:
- Joint application 2025 = no later than 29 January 2025 at 3 pm (Finnish time).
- Separate application (Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Fine Arts) = 1 April 2025 at 3 pm (Finnish time).
3) Wait for Entrance Examination Invitation E-mail
Invitations to the entrance examinations are sent by e-mail some weeks after the application deadline. Check your e-mail regularly, including your spam and junk folders. Please note that for some degree programmes, invitations are only sent to eligible applicants.
4) Entrance Examinations
Prepare for the entrance examinations that will be held online.
- Joint application: in March-April 2025 (please see the specific dates for each programme under Selection Methods)
- Separate application (Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Fine Arts): week 18, 2025
To be considered for admission, you must participate in the entrance examinations. Please familiarize yourself with the selection methods of each Bachelor's degree programme.
5) Results
Wait for the decision on student admission to be published in www.studyinfo.fi. The results will be published continuously and applicants will be notified via email.
- Joint application: from the end of March, however, at the latest by 28 May 2025.
- Separate application (Bachelor of Culture and Arts, Fine Arts): from end of May 2025.
6) Wait for ALL Results to be Published
Please notice that you can only accept one study place per semester in Finland even if you are offered multiple study places. Accepting a study place is binding and cannot be changed.
7) Accepted as a Student?
Remember to accept your study place in the www.studyinfo.fi and follow the given instructions. It is obligatory to register for attendance or non-attendance in addition to accepting your study place. Studies begin in August/September 2025, exact dates will be published in due course. Our information package for new students is available at Information for New Students.
