Green Ecosystem Services
The ability of our environment to support our cultures and economies now and in the future is paramount for a sustainable future. Our mission is to investigate and support all kinds of communities in finding ways to integrate their behavior and operations to protect, restore, and value the ecological basis of life. When rethinking, improving, and managing holistic systems, the collaboration of multiple stakeholders requires interdisciplinary understanding, fostering innovation and strengthening society’s bonds. Our scope can be wide and encompass many actors or it focuses on primary research that all our other studies stem from.
Projects which embrace the notion that people can benefit from their surroundings create new opportunities through bio- and ecosystem mimicry. Actively stewarding our environments opens new possibilities to make better use of existing resources (including “waste”), create new enterprises, and partake in the dynamic growth of the kind of places people want to be now, and in the future. Green ecosystem services projects combine care with action, playing on the strength of people to step back, analyze, and work together for a common future.
