In an era of rapid technological development and changing market conditions, transformative leadership is crucial for companies' survival and growth. At Novia's Faculty of Business, we explore how small and medium-sized enterprises in coastal and rural regions can successfully inspire and lead employees through change processes while maintaining their competitiveness in a global context.
Through our application of the Helix models, we create a dynamic learning environment where research, education, and business collaboration converge. We use design thinking to develop methods that strengthen leaders' ability to inspire and engage employees in a structured and sustainable way. Our research particularly focuses on the unique challenges that leaders of smaller companies in our coastal regions face when developing their organizations.
Our research in transformative leadership encompasses digital transformation in traditional industries and the development of engaging organizational structures adapted for smaller companies. We study how leaders can implement circular business models and how this transition affects organizational culture and employee development.
Research findings are continuously translated into practical tools and methods that can be directly used by regional business leaders. We develop customized leadership models that take into account the resource constraints and specific conditions of smaller companies. Through close collaboration with the business community, we ensure that our research results are directly applicable and create real value for companies and their employees in the region.
Our work in transformative leadership is characterized by close dialogue between higher education and industry. We combine theoretical knowledge with practical experiences from regional business leaders to develop innovative ways to inspire and lead.
