
Kenneth Nordell

Nordell is a project leader at the Faculty of Business. After receiving his M.Sc. degree in thermal engineering from Åbo Akademi University, he worked extensively in the industry, primarily in production-related roles in the steel industry. Nordell has worked with quality systems, environmental management systems, investments, leadership, production, B2B, employment contracts, financial monitoring, profitability calculations, LEAN implementation, risk analyses, FMEA, and innovation. He has also worked internationally as a consultant, where several major suppliers to the steel industry have engaged his services.
At Novia, Nordell has particularly focused on circular business models, where he also serves as team leader.

Current Projects
MAP-UP-P2X - Mapping CO2 Streams in Ostrobothnia: Unlocking Potential for P2X Economy
Period: 9.1.2024 - 31.12.2025
The project investigates the potential of combining captured carbon dioxide with renewable energy to produce synthetic fuels locally and in an environmentally friendly way. The project explores regional opportunities for utilizing and refining CO2, O2, and H2, and aims to create a better understanding of raw material flows in various industries and processes.
BSR Go-Abroad
Period: 1.11.2023 - 31.1.2027
The project develops a plan for micro and small businesses to help them expand their business offerings and enter new markets around the Baltic Sea region.
