Talents Integration Path

Talents' Integration Path

About the project

The Talents’ Integration Path is a collaborative project for all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Vaasa, aimed at supporting the integration of international degree students. The initiative guides students from their first contact with universities in Vaasa, through their studies, and into the local workforce upon graduation.

This project will highlight and promote social services and cultural offerings that foster social and cultural inclusion for international students in the Vaasa region. It will focus on key areas such as language learning, networking, and resilience-building.

The Talents' Integration Path will create a structured pathway for students to integrate into the local community, while also identifying ways that staff HEIs in Vaasa can further support the smooth integration of students into both the academic environment and the local community.

Project goal

The overall aim of the project: "To facilitate the integration journey of international degree students, from initial contact with HEIs in Vaasa, through studies, and up to graduation and placement in the region's workforce."

The objectives of the project:
• Support international students in being included both in the study community and in society, both before and throughout education.
• Making known and accessible to international students the various services and social and cultural offerings by the City of Vaasa and other organizations to support the social and cultural inclusion of international students.
• Strengthening access to university-educated skilled labor in the region through more effective introduction and integration of international students.
