About the project

The aim of the project is to use GPS transmitters to gather information about the movements of great cormorants along the Finnish coast, to investigate which fishing areas they are using and to predict the predation pressure and other damage to fisheries in various forms caused by cormorants regionally. The work is done in collaboration between the Natural Resources Institute (Luke) and Novia University of Applied Sciences.
