About the project

The Landsbyggare för föreningar project continues the measures of Landsbyggare® Österbotten with a focus on the associations. The project highlights the opportunities of the countryside and presents stories of active associations as rural actors.

The project also aims to increase knowledge of sustainable development among associations in the region. To this purpose, Novia organises workshops for associations on responsible event production, providing them with tools and guidelines to plan and implement more responsible events.
The material produced as a result of the workshop series can be used by the associations in their activities after the end of the project.

As part of the project, Aktion Österbotten's activities will also be certified according to the Ekokompassi standards, which will serve as an example for other associations and promote sustainability in the region's activities.
