ICH North - Passing on our musical traditions

About the project

The intentions are to make the immaterial heritage visible and promote
safeguarding throughout the Aurora area.

The ICH North project is a contribution to the development of a sustainable
enhancing of the role of culture in the Aurora area. The project is
community-based in accordance with the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding
of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (2003) and will use co-creation between
communities and institutions. ICH North will make the cultural heritage in the
Aurora area more visible. The project will create new joint innovative services
and products in cultural and creative industries, developing digitalization and
digital innovations. Social innovation is considered a relevant concept to
tackle societal challenges and needs in rural areas and to promote smart,
inclusive and sustainable growth.
