About the project
Novia is further developing and testing a concept where English-speaking nursing students visit and practice Swedish at elder care facilities in Swedish-speaking Ostrobothnia during activity afternoons in 2023–2025. The project enhances the students' language skills as they interact with Swedish-speaking clients in everyday situations while also establishing connections and collaborating with potential future employers in the region.Project goal
The aim is to create positive encounters where future employees and employers can get to know each other in an informal setting, while students practice their Swedish with residents at elder care facilities. Residents at the facilities gain variety and something extra in their daily lives through activities organized by people other than the staff.UN's Sustainable Development Goals
