Students teach CPR
For the sixth time since 2016, CPR- week will once again take place in Vaasa. The event is organized as a collaborative project between the initiator Vaasa Central Hospital and students and teachers from Novia and Vamk. The event aims to spread knowledge about resuscitation.
From Novia, 21 students from the Nursing programme are participating in the events. During the month of May, they will visit several local schools to train ninth graders in CPR. The events will include both a theoretical and a practical part, where Novia's and Vamk's students act as CPR instructors. Prior to the event, the students from Novia and Vamk have received instruction in basic resuscitation, simulation and identification of critically ill patients by Dr. Raku Hautamäki at VCS.
