Nurse Kärt Aavik received the Pihkahovi Foundation's scholarship for her degree project

Kärt Aavik, nurse (YH) from the Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing programme has been awarded a scholarship from the Pihkahovi Foundation for her degree project “Using Digital Interventions for Occupational Mental Health Problems: A Scoping Review”. The degree project presents an overview of how digital interventions for work-related mental health problems are used in practice in occupational health care.

The scholarship of 2000 euro is awarded to a person who has studied something that benefits in the rehabilitation or occupational health care sector.

After working in marketing and communications for several years Kärt felt she wanted to change her line of business. In 2018, Kärt began her studies at Novia University of Applied Sciences and she received her nursing degree in the autumn of 2021.

Kärt works as a nurse in the department of oncology at Vaasa Central Hospital. From next year she intends to continue her studies as a public health nurse, which she began in the autumn of 2021 at VAMK.
