Novia's alumni are well-prepared for working life
The career follow-up survey by the Ministry of Education and Culture (UKM), which examines graduates' perceptions of their education five years after graduation, forms the basis for a recently conducted career survey among Novia's alumni. The survey highlights a range of positive results regarding the quality of education and its significance for working life. The response rate of 50.8% shows strong engagement from Novia's graduates, and the collected responses highlight the education's ability to prepare alumni for successful careers. The feedback from our alumni provides us with valuable information for the continued development of our programs and teaching.
The survey shows that an overwhelming majority of respondents believe that their degree has had a positive impact on their career. A full 86.6% feel that their degree is appreciated by employers, while 91.8% are satisfied with how education has supported their career development. These results underscore the high standard that Novia delivers and reflect education’s relevance and strong reputation in the job market.
"The results are confirmation of Novia's strengths. We are extremely proud of our alumni and grateful for their engagement in this year's career survey. This report shows that Novia succeeds in providing our alumni with the tools they need to meet the demands of working life," says Bella Alén, alumni coordinator at Novia University of Applied Sciences.
Many alumni highlight that the education at Novia offers a broad and practical foundation, where both theoretical and practical skills are integrated to meet the needs of the job market. The competence and commitment of the lecturers are emphasized as one of the greatest assets, contributing to enhancing the quality of education. The study period is also characterized by a safe and inspiring environment, creating positive memories for many. Internship opportunities also play a central role, where the internship periods not only connect theory with practice but also help students build valuable networks for working life.
The data collection has been carried out with CSC's Arvo service. With Arvo, nationally consistent and comparable data is collected to assess the effectiveness of education.
