Open discussion: How to get local wool out on the market
Join us on-site at Campus Raseborg on December 4th or tune in online!
The interest in Finnish wool has increased rapidly in the last few years, which has also improved the logistics around it. The price farmers are paid for wool has gone up. Still, there is a lot of work to be done to reduce the amount of wool that is being wasted, and to get the wool on the market, with its unique qualities preserved. It is also challenging to find larger quantities of wool of a certain standard, for bigger brands to be able to use Finnish wool. As sheep wool is a material with so many good qualities, it is absolutely worth the effort to increase the use of it.
Join the discussion "How to get local wool out on the market", December 4th at 12:30 - 13:45 to find out more. In the panel we have Christoph Behrens, who has a long experience of global wool trade, and is partner in a German wool blanket factory. We will also hear about the new NordPlus -project FELT WOOL, aimed at increasing the use of coarse wool in felted products. The discussion will take place at Novia's Campus Raseborg (Raseborgsvägen 9) classroom B273 and online.
This is a open event for all interested in local wool production, welcome along!
