Novia University of Applied Sciences and technology consulting company Cyient signed an agreement on June 20th, 2023, for the purpose of cooperation during a three-year period within the field of technology. The agreement is a letter of intent where the parties pursue jointly set visions and goals within technology education and recruitment. This is a continuation of longstanding collaboration with Citec, which was recently acquired by Cyient.
Novia UAS is an entrepreneurial UAS strongly anchored in working life, and cooperation with Cyient – a global actor within the field of technology – is very valuable. The partnership strengthens dialogue and contributes to the relevance and future orientation of our Engineering Degree Programmes. In addition, this cooperation will support Novia’s global ambitions and networks. I’m very much looking forward to creating mutual benefit and promoting development for a sustainable future together with Cyient”, states President/CEO Örjan Andersson.
“At Cyient, we are accelerating the convergence of engineering and technology for our customers, partners, investors and communities. Our partnership with Novia UAS is critical to developing talent and skill and focusing jointly on technology innovation opportunities that helps us design tomorrow together. I am excited to commence this partnership”, said Dr. PNSV Narasimham, President & Head of Corporate Functions, Cyient.
“Cooperation will be systematized significantly more than before and it will actually cover three main areas: degree programmes and recruitment, continuing education and continuous learning, and RDI cooperation via projects”, explains Dean Kristian Blomqvist.
“Especially in terms of education, I hope that this cooperation enables us to develop opportunities and help our increasing number of international students find internships and theses”, Mr Blomqvist continues.
