-develop a holistic view of the human being
-become familiar with health promotion throughout the life span
-know the fundamental concepts of epidemiology, health and illness, and differentiates health promotion from health protection or illness prevention
-recognize factors hazardous to health, and will be able to apply an individual approach to health promotion and prevention
-be able to identify theoretical frameworks used in individual health promotion
-be able to support health promotion and illness prevention for specific patient groups at risk
-become familiar with different aspects of measuring health: subjective and objective measurements
-become familiar with screenings, and be able to apply this knowledge to nursing care
-understand the concept of health and lifestyle and be able to apply that to disorders linked to lifestyle
-recognize the connection between illness and social factors |
