Course-specific competence: The student can plan, implement and assess the follow-up of health, wellbeing and resources of expecting families as well as of families with infants
The student recognizes risks and complications related to pregnancy and labour and can, if necessary, consult experts in the field of maternal health care
The student is familiar with the course of labour and knows how to handle an emergency childbirth
The student can, by use of resource promoting methods, counsel the clients in aspects related to pregnancy, labour, couple relations and family planning
