Course-specific competence: Mental care and care of substance abusers:
In contexts involving interprofessional collaboration, the student can under supervision plan, implement and assess patient-centered mental and care of substance abusers
The student is able to follow various evidence-based care guidelines within the care plan and implement the most common treatment methods
The student is able to document and report in accordance with structured documentation
The student is able to encounter a mental care patient or substance abuser in a professional manner
The student can identify the patient’s recourses and is able to cooperate with the patient as well as interprofessional working teams in a resource promoting manner
The student has a reflective and ethical approach and respects the patient’s right to self-determination as well as the patient safety
The student can counsel the patient within mental care and care of substance abusers
The student can plan, implement and assess safe medical management

Nursing Practice within Home Health Care:
In contexts involving interprofessional collaboration, the student can under supervision in a home environment plan, implement, and assess patient-centered care while taking into consideration the patient’s and next-of-kin’s cultural background
The student is able to follow various evidence-based care guidelines within the care plan and is able to implement central resource promoting treatment methods within the home environment
The student is able to document and report in accordance with structured documentation
The student demonstrates a respectful attitude towards the patient/client and the immediate home environment as well as is able to identify ethical problems
The student can assess and support the patient’s/client’s functional ability as well as the patient’s and next-of-kin’s participation in the health care
The student can plan, implement and assess safe medical management
The student understands the significance of patient safety and applies aseptic principles to patient care
