- knows how to explain the background and development of forest and nature conservation
- is able to describe the methods used in protecting the biodiversity of nature in productiive forests
- is able to identify especially important habitats in accordance with the Forest Act
- knows how to identify forested nature types mentioned in the Nature Conservation Act
- knows how to identify habitats protected by forest certification
- is able to combine general conservation methods with normal forest management
- is able to identify permanent ancient remains in the forests
- is able to observe forest and nature conservation in connection with felling of energy wood
- is able to observe water protection requirements in the planning of all measures
