Prerequisites:
Module-specific competence: -Review of energy systems from a global perspective from physical principles to practical solutions. Technologies currently utilized and implemented and future prospects and development
-Principles of design and engineering of energy systems and deepened knowledge in selected technologies
-Sustainability in the energy context. What is sustainability, how do we measure it, how can we reach it. Close co-operation with experts in the renewable energy field at Novia R&D
-In the distributed energy systems course students will work in cross-scientific teams analyzing, designing and/or developing solutions for distributed energy
-Course work generally consist of lectures and some visits to local companies
