Thesis

Develop the ability to formulate problems and purposes and, with them as the starting-point, compiling a manuscript for a thesis within the selected domain. The thesis shall train the student to develop new knowledge, using theory and practice as the foundation, within his/her selected domain. The thesis also aims at uniting the institution, the student and the party that has commissioned the research in an integrated development process.

Thesis writing process:
The process starts with the student learning about the foundation of science, including philosophy of science, basic scientific methods as well as common analysis methods and associated data processing software. Dialogue and individual guidance are core activities in the learning process. The work takes place in stages including preliminary reports, elaborated reports, and presentation of the manuscript.
