Course-specific competence: The student will be able to:
-identify health problems involving the endocrine system, the reproductive system and breasts
-identify abnormal findings that may indicate an impairment of the endocrine system
-use the nursing process as a framework for providing individualized care for patients with an endocrine or sexual-reproductive dysfunction
-prioritize the patient’s needs for nursing care, act correctly on those, and document them based on the national classification system
-identify the symptoms of the various types of diabetes
-identify the risk factors for diabetes
-prepare for guiding the patient in health promotion and prevention of complications
-identify the risk factors and complications related to STI
-apply insights into altered endocrine and sexual-reproductive functions to all nursing contexts
