Course-specific competence: The student will:
-be able to recognize and consider the challenges of working in a multicultural and multiprofessional team
-become familiar with concepts related to culture, health and nursing
-obtain knowledge of the most common nursing theories related to cultural competence in nursing care
-be able to recognize phenomena like racism and xenophobia, and understand how they can affect good nursing care
-become aware of cultural safety, cultural blindness and cultural imposition and be able to apply that knowledge to the nursing process
-obtain knowledge about epidemiology and relate it to different geographical areas and health risks specific for different areas
