Fine Arts


The pre-task is a compulsory part of the application process. The pre-task must be uploaded in the online application form no later than 27 January 2021 at 3 pm Finnish time.

The pre-task for the Bachelor degree programme in Fine Arts consists of

  • Your CV together with a Personal Statement. (Submitted as PDF document to
  • Portfolio of recent and relevant work. (Submitted either as a PDF document or as a web-link on your CV)

Deadline for uploading the pre-task in the online application form is 27 January 2021 at 3 pm Finnish time. Upload your CV and portfolio as separate PDF documents. Name the files in the following form: last name_CV.pdf and last name_portfolio.pdf

Pre-tasks uploaded after the deadline will not be considered. Only applicants with a pre-task will be invited to the e-interview.

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination will be held in form of an e-interview during 1-5 March 2021. The exact time will be included in your personal invitation e-mail. Only applicants with a submitted pre-task will be invited to the e-interview.

If you do not participate in the e-interview you cannot be admitted. The pre-task and e-interview can give you a maximum of 100 points in total. You must obtain at least 50/100 points to be considered for admission. The different parts of the entrance examination process are scored in accordance with the following:

  • CV and Personal Statement: 0-20 points
  • Portfolio: 0-20 points
  • Interview: 0-60 points

To be considered for admission, you must fulfill the eligibility requirements and successfully complete all parts of the pre-task and the e-interview.

Note: English language is used throughout the entrance examination process.

In cases of equal admission scores, applicants will be ranked on the following grounds:

  • e-interview and/or pre-task

If these criteria fail to produce a difference between tied applicants, a university of applied sciences may choose to admit all or none of the equally ranked applicants, or the applicants will be automatically ranked by lots drawn by a computer system.
