Pre-task
All applicants must upload a pre-task (preliminary research plan for Master’s thesis) no later than 29 January 2020 at 3 pm (Finnish time) in the online application form. Pre-tasks submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The pre-task must be approved in order for the applicant to be invited to the entrance examination (e-interview). The pre-task is evaluated on a pass or fail basis.
The thesis work in this master’s degree programme (30 credits) is to be realized as a research and development project related to working life. As a pre-task you should write a preliminary research plan (approximately 1-2 A4 pages) in English for your thesis work with the following included:
• a preliminary title
• a description of the topic of your chosen development project
• background and description of why the topic is important
• a description of how your chosen topic is connected to working life
Entrance Examination
The entrance examination will be held in the form of an e-interview 2.4.2020. English language proficiency will be assessed in connection with the e-interview. If you do not participate in the e-interview you cannot be admitted. The pre-task and/or e-interview can give you a maximum of 100 points in total. You must obtain at least 20/100 points to be admitted. Both the pre-task and e-interview must be passed in order to be considered for admission.
In cases of equal admission scores, applicants will be ranked on the following grounds:
1. e-interview and/or advance assignment;
2. the order of selected application options on the application form;
If these criteria fail to produce a difference between tied applicants, a university of applied sciences may choose to admit all or none of the equally ranked applicants, or the applicants will be automatically ranked by lots drawn by a computer system.
